Making Tax Digital: A Checklist

You may notice that in less than a year businesses above the VAT threshold of £85,000 will be required to keep digital records for tax purposes and file tax returns quarterly, under the HMRC’s ‘Making Tax Digital’ (MTD) scheme.

We want to ensure that you are fully prepared, so here’s a quick reminder of what you can be doing now:


Put it in your diary April 2019 – Businesses over the VAT threshold are required to keep digital records and submit quarterly returns for VAT purposes only.


Select MTD compatible software Choose software that fits seamlessly into the way that you do business, so that by April 2019 you’re up and running and any teething problems are ironed out.
