Our Approach to Financial Planning

A clear, step-by-step process tailored to your financial goals.

How Our Financial Planning Process Works

We follow a proven method that adapts to you, not the other way around.

Step 1: Getting to Know You

We start by understanding your goals, current financial picture, and what matters most to you.
This includes an initial, no-obligation conversation where we explain our services, fees, and how we work.

This first step is always at our expense.

Step 2: Designing Your Financial Plan

Once we’ve gathered key information from you and your existing providers, we compile a clear picture of your finances in a Fact Find document. Based on your goals, we produce a fully personalised Strategic Review, outlining our expert recommendations tailored to your needs and circumstances.

Step 3: Putting the Plan into Action

With your approval, we move forward by implementing your strategy. Whether that involves starting or switching pensions, updating investment allocations, or improving how your savings work for you — we make sure everything is set up smoothly and efficiently.

Step 4: Keeping Everything on Track

Your financial plan evolves with you. That’s why we regularly review your investments, aligned with your agreed risk level and changing priorities. You’ll also have 24/7 access to your full financial picture through our secure Personal Finance Portal, and we’re always just a call away whenever you need advice or support.

Support from a Wider Team with Global Expertise

While our advice is tailored to your unique circumstances, it is backed by insights from a wider team of financial specialists. We draw on research from leading fund managers, investment houses, and risk assessment experts to provide clear, forward-thinking recommendations.

That’s why our work is supported by a wide variety of experts, research and software.

We use a risk profiling questionnaire and associated analysis tools, based on the world’s most academically validated psychometric risk tolerance assessment, to provide a full understanding of your attitude to risk that includes your risk tolerance, need and capacity for loss.*

We identify potential investments appropriate to your risk profile, for consideration. The identification of investments is based on our research, coupled with ongoing international insight from specialist investment fund research and ratings providers, which takes into account ongoing world events; meaning that our approach is global.

We are supported by a team of UK-based compliance and technical experts throughout the process, ultimately with your protection in mind.
